The book “Total Downshifting, or Full Upgrade” about the organization and development of the bio-settlement project in the Carpathians was published in Ukraine, it is printed on paper made of technical hemp.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The presentation of the edition took place in Ukrinform, and the event was hosted by Ivan Stepurin, director of the publishing house “Samit-knyga”, which, figuratively speaking, is a creative friend and partner of the National Agency for Strategic Communications.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According to the author Kostyantyn Makuha, the hemp book “Total Downshifting, or Full Upgrade” contains 10 years of experience of the founders of the BIOpolis biosphere settlement in the Carpathians. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Makuha noted that this is the story of his family, which left the business, a comfortable apartment, and the usual way of life. With two small children, they left the capital to change their lives and learn to live in harmony with nature. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“For us, downshifting became a complete upgrade – we changed our philosophy, worldview, our perception and understanding of what to live for in general,” said the author of the book.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He noted that Ukraine has fertile lands, and Ukrainians love their land and work on it, so life in biosphere settlements can become the next step in the evolution of humanity and the solution to many issues for Ukraine.<\/span><\/span> A dialogue was dedicated to this topic, in which public figures not only from our country, but also from abroad took part with the help of online video.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Makuha explained that it is a qualitatively new type of settlement. This is a community of people living permanently in a certain territory, whose life activities do not disturb the natural balance, creating the effect of sustainable development of the settlement in harmony with the environment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“A biosphere settlement is a community of free, self-sufficient, self-fulfilling individuals who permanently live on the territory of a settlement harmoniously integrated into the biosphere, protecting their well-being, values \u200b\u200band freedoms, without encroaching on the freedoms of other peoples and the ability of future generations to meet their needs”, – noted the author.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
